ABOUT US
Craftsmanship That Runs in the Family
At Gettysburg Jewelry Repair, our story began long before we opened our doors in 2023. Owner Tony Gonnella learned the trade through his uncle and grandfather, two seasoned jewelers who passed down both technique and standards. After more than 20 years at the bench, including 12 years managing busy shops in Reisterstown and Pikesville, Tony brings steady precision to every repair. Whether it’s ring sizing, chainwork, or antique restoration, he approaches each piece with responsibility. The goal is simple: protect what matters, do the work right, and explain it clearly.

YEARS IN BUSINESS
BUILT AROUND CLARITY
The Transparent Repair Experience
We built this shop around clarity. Instead of taking your jewelry away and returning with a verdict, Tony walks you through what’s happening while you watch the magnified view on a screen. That microscope-to-TV setup helps you understand worn prongs, loose stones, and small failures that are easy to miss at arm’s length. From a straightforward solder to custom engraving, the work is handled with the same level of care we’d want for our own pieces. You’ll get a free estimate, a clear plan, and repairs completed on-site in Gettysburg.

Questions About Who We Are
What makes your shop different from other jewelers?
We’re family-owned and focused on clarity. With 20+ years of experience and a microscope-to-screen setup, you can follow the diagnosis and understand the recommendation.
How did Tony get started in jewelry repair?
Tony began by apprenticing under his uncle and grandfather. He’s spent 20+ years building his skills across modern and traditional repair work.
Is all work done on-site?
Yes. Repairs are completed in our Gettysburg shop by Tony himself.
Do you work with sentimental or heirloom jewelry?
Yes. Heirloom and sentimental pieces are a core part of what we do, and we handle them with care and respect.

It makes tiny problems visible and easier to explain. You can see the wear up close, then approve the repair plan with confidence.
